What is a Library of Things?

A Library of Things is a collection of non-traditional library items available for the community to borrow for free. These items might be rarely used, hard to store, or expensive, such as electronic equipment, cooking appliances and hobby items.
We want this collection to be useful to many audiences, reduce community-wide waste and consumption, and contribute to social inclusion, accessibility, and affordability for members of the community.
What types of Things are available to borrow?
We also have boardgames, jigsaw puzzles, and video games available to borrow. These items follow the library’s standard borrowing policies.

- Borrower must have a valid Squamish Public Library card in good standing.
- Borrower must be 14 years or older and hold a full privileges library card.

- Things must be placed on hold and checked out on the borrower’s own card.
- Holds will be kept for one week before being returned to circulation.
- Holds can only be placed on PL Adult accounts.
