Interlibrary Loans

Can’t find a book at SPL? Try borrowing it from another library!  

Interlibrary loans (ILLs) let you request books from other libraries in BC and have them delivered to SPL for pickup. They’re a great way to access books that we don’t have in our collection. ILLs typically take 2-4 weeks to arrive but may take longer.

Interlibrary Loan Policies 

  • Items cannot already be in Squamish Public Library’s system. Browse our catalogue before you place an ILL!  
  • Items must be at least 12 months old. 
  • ILLs cannot be renewed.
  • You must have a full-service library card in good standing to place an ILL. Contact us if you have questions about your account.
  • You may place up to five requests at once. If you have a print disability, you may place up to eight requests. Learn more about registering with a print disability.
