Frequently Asked Questions about the pass:
How long are the wait times to receive a pass?
The passes are popular and the wait times can be lengthy. Please be patient. You can look up your place in the line on the holds list in your library account: Log into your library account and view your holds.
Where do I pick up my pass?
Once you are notified that your hold is ready, come to the Squamish Public Library in-person to pick up a pass.
What if I am away when my hold comes up?
If you know you are going to be away, you can login to your account and pause the hold until you return. By doing so, you will not lose your place in line. This must be done before your hold comes up.
Do I have to return the pass to the Library?
Your pass will automatically expire after one week, and you do not need to return it to the library. If you use your pass before the week is over, please let us know so that we can give the pass to the next person in line! This will help to shorten wait times for everyone. You can email us here or call us at 604-892-3110.
Can I renew it if I’m not able to use it during the period of time it was issued to me?
Unfortunately, we can’t renew your pass once your hold has come up. You can get back in line if you aren’t able to use the pass while you have it.
Can I use the pass more than once?
One pass is good for only one visit for up to 2 adults and 3 children.
Do I need to make a reservation to visit the Britannia Mine Museum?
The museum recommends reserving a spot for your visit, especially during busy times (e.g. school holidays). Once you receive your pass, you can make a reservation online on the Britannia Mine Museum website.
